(Wakefield, Mass.) - Two-time Olympic Champion Ayumi Tanimoto (JPN) conducted a clinic during Pedro's Judo Center's Leadership Super Session on Tuesday.
Tanimoto, who won back-to-back Olympic titles in 2004 and 2008, is in Wakefield for an extended stay training period at Pedro's Judo Center. Tanimoto is working closely with Pedro's Judo Center to continue to improve judo in the Boston area.
The USA Judo National Team FORCE program had a total of four global medalists on the mat on Tuesday as two-time Olympic medlaist Jimmy Pedro (Methuen, Mass.), 2008 Olympic medalist Ronda Rousey (Wakefield, Mass. / NYAC) and 2008 Junior World Champion Kayla Harrison (Wakefield, Mass. / NYAC) worked with the 100+ athletes who came out to particpate in the clinic.
