Michael Eldred and Nick Delpopolo to Compete at Chinggis Khan World Cup in Mongolia on Saturday

(Colorado Springs, Colo.) – The top two 73kg players in the United States will compete at the Chinggis Khan World Cup in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia on Saturday. 

Both Nick Delpopolo (Wakefield, Mass. / NYAC / USA Judo National Team FORCE) and Michael Eldred (Fruitland, Idaho / Western Idaho Judo Institute) have been ranked among the top 30 players in the world this year. 

Delpopolo made an international break-though in June when he won back-to-back World Cup titles at the Venezuela and El Salvador World Cup.  Eldred earned trips to the podium at both events as well, making the two-time National Champion a three-time World Cup medalist.

Competition on Saturday includes the men’s 60kg, 66kg and 73kg divisions as well as the women’s 48kg, 52kg, 57kg and 63kg divisions.  

On Sunday, the men’s 81kg, 90kg, 100kg and +100kg will be held along with the women’s 70kg, 78kg and +78kg divisions.
