2010 Rene Capo Cup to be held Jan. 30

Two-time Olympian Rene Capo
(Colorado Springs, Colo.) - The first Rene Capo Cup judo tournament will be held on Jan. 30 at American High School in Miami Lakes, Fla. Hosted by Budokan Judo Club, the event is being held in memory of two-time Olympian Rene Capo, a Miami native who died of lung cancer in 2009.
USA Judo would like to encourage all who can to please support this first year event in memory of a great athlete and Olympian.
During the event, USA Judo will be starting a scholarship education trust fund for Capo's two children. Members of the USA Judo Board of Directors and National Office Staff have personally donated the start-up funds.

Those wishing to participate in this tournament may do so by registering at the Budokan Club, 2613 W 76 St, Hialeah, Fla. or by coming to the tournament site at American High School, 18350 NW 67 ave, Miami Lakes, Fl 33015.
